IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG!!
You know you have found a really good club to roll dice at when you are SUPER EXCITED all day to get some game on – and yesterday DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!
Even if I was playing against Necrons! 😆
Game night was amazing last night; loads of tables going, with again a huge variety in factions.
But you know what? Yesterday I played my second game ever using Grey Knights. I’ve been playing a bit, but this army is just something very different. But here’s the thing that I really love about this club. My opponent didn’t sit there and go “I aM gOiNg To aBsOlUteLY pUNiSh yOu n00b” – he talked about various plays. We finished our game (I went down 65-97 🫣) and we had a good old chat afterwards. My opponent has been playing for longer than I have, and with Necrons for a LONG time, and he took the time to talk through some of my plays, and point out areas that I could focus on for future games.
Really good advice given in a way to help build each other up.
And that’s something that I really love. Last night we had a couple members playing who had just come back from America taking part in a small comp known as “The World Championships of Warhammer” (so just a small event really) and they weren’t bullying their opponents, they were discussing what they were doing.
Helping each other grow.
Like a good community should.
