And so begins the Legendary League of Eleventh Edition!

(As well as a couple of casual games on the side.)

So I don’t know about you, but I am LOVING 11th Edition. The new terrain layouts, the new missions, new dispositions, and it all being tied together with the same old Defilers. Gross. They’re actually not too bad – as a Custodes player I just need to remember 4 up as opposed to the Lowroller ethos of 4 down. But Lowrollers, everyday, will win that battle.

So the League kicked off last night, and it was a great turnout to the club, with so many ork players coming out of … well … not hiding because Orks neva hied from a good scrap. Plus not many ork players wear purple. Of those we see anyway. But it was good!

What was not good was the absolute hiding I got last night into EC! In teams terms, my opponent got a solid 20-0, and if we extrapolate that beyond the 0 to 20 threshold…. it would have been a 25 to -5. Ouch.

But I put this down to 3 things; 1. my opponent is just really good, 2. Disruption is a tough disposition at the moment, especially when you play a list that wants to specifically purge the horde, and 3. three repetitions do not make a master!

And this is where the League comes in so useful. Repetitions in a friendly, competition-driven environment. Gives you a chance to try things out in a semi-serious stage.

So I for one am excited to see how things pan out over the course of the LEGENDARY LEAGUE OF ELEVENTH! Game on!
