LR Summer League R4 | Game Night Thursday 5/2/2026 | What the shirt?

So much has been going on! Club nights are absolutely buzzing; the LR Summer League 2026 is creeping towards the pointy end, casual games are aplenty, and our new LR Team Shirts have arrived!

So lets do this in a nice sequence shall we?

LR Summer League Round 4

Ooooh its starting to get close!

Except in my game. That was an absolute blow out. We’ll call it the “World Eaters Experience” of T2 in my deployment zone and T3 I have nothing left. That was a lesson in measurement if I’ve ever had one. Kudos to my opponent for the round – that was an epic go turn!!

The other games have been mostly been very close. We currently have one player sitting at 4-0, four more at 3-1, and eight on 2-2. So with 2 rounds to go – there are still a LOT of possible podium spaces available!

Games Night Thursday 5/2/2026

So great to see so many games going on! Once again there was a solid spread of factions represented (but no Agents of the Imperium this week – they were too busy joining in with some Golden Boys instead).

And it was good to see just genuine inclusion. Models aren’t painted Andy? That’s all good. We’re here to roll dice and have a good time, not comment on the state of completion. (Unless of course its to say, “hey – they’re looking pretty good!”). This is a growing club, and to watch people’s armies grow and come to life (a little too realistically to life in some cases – I’m looking at a certain persons Space Wolves…) is just awesome to see.

So speaking of growing clubs, our new team shirts arrived, and they look pretty schmick. Apparently there were bucket hats as well, and if I can quote one new user of said hats, “The bucket hats will make us sexually incomparable”. Enough said really.

… To the shirts!

Team Shirts

For those new to the club, Lowrollers Brisbane actively engages in regular Team 40K competitions, the main one being the Gladiator Games Teams Tournament (is that right? I just say “Glad”). When we put on these shirts we are representing the club and all its values; honesty, matesmanship, and having a good time.

So we also look at those same values on Game Nights – if you’re new to the club and a bit unsure about things, look for someone wearing one of these shirts. Those who are wearing the shirts are happy to help you out with rules, advice, tax returns, building your back deck, and walking your dog. And if they can’t, they’ll at least point you towards someone who might.

Just be mindful they might be playing a game as well!
